1. Who We Are

Matthews Strategic Advisory ("MSA," "we," "us," "our") is a strategic advisory practice operating from Bangkok, Thailand and Hong Kong, providing market intelligence, regulatory analysis, and strategic advisory services across Southeast Asia and Greater China. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of matthews.asia (the "Site") and your purchase of any report, tool, or advisory service we offer.

By purchasing a report, using the self-assessment tool, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or purchase our products.

2. Nature of Our Services

MSA produces market intelligence reports, regulatory analysis, and self-assessment tools ("Products") for informational purposes, and provides advisory services on a separate, direct-engagement basis. Products are intended to help you understand a market, regulatory environment, or your own strategic position — they are a starting point for decision-making, not a substitute for professional advice specific to your circumstances.

3. Not Legal, Tax, or Financial Advice

MSA is a strategic advisory, not a law firm, accounting firm, or licensed financial advisor. Nothing in our reports, the self-assessment tool, or any other Product constitutes legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, or a solicitation to buy or sell any investment. You should seek advice from a qualified professional licensed in the relevant jurisdiction before making any decision based on information in our Products.

Self-assessment tool results are automated, preliminary indications based on your own self-reported answers. They do not constitute a compliance determination, a legal opinion, or a guarantee of any outcome.

4. Purchases, Pricing & Payment

Prices for our Products are displayed at the point of purchase in the currency shown and are processed securely through Stripe. Where a Product is priced in a specific currency (for example, Thai Baht) as its primary listed price, that price is the reference price; any other currency shown at checkout is an approximate conversion and may vary slightly from the listed price due to exchange rate movement at the time of payment.

We reserve the right to change prices for future purchases at any time. Changes will not affect a purchase you have already completed.

5. Delivery of Digital Products

Reports and full assessment results are delivered by email following successful payment, generally within one business day unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page. It is your responsibility to provide a valid, monitored email address at the point of purchase and to check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive delivery within the stated timeframe.

6. Refunds

Because our Products are digital goods delivered electronically and are typically prepared or personalised for the purchaser, all sales are final once a Product has been delivered, except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, or a Product was not delivered, contact advisory@matthews.asia and we will investigate promptly.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in our Products — including text, analysis, charts, diagrams, and data presentation — is the intellectual property of Matthews Strategic Advisory unless otherwise credited, and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws.

Single-Reader Licence: a Product purchased under a Single-Reader Licence is for the use of the individual purchaser only and may not be redistributed, resold, or shared outside your own personal or internal reference.

Company/Team Licence: a Product purchased under a Company or Team Licence may be used internally by employees or members of the licensed organisation, up to the user limit stated at purchase, and may not be redistributed externally or resold.

No licence granted under these Terms permits reproduction, publication, or commercial redistribution of our Products without our prior written consent.

8. The Self-Assessment Tool

Our self-assessment tools (including the Thailand Nominee Risk Self-Assessment) are provided as a free preliminary diagnostic. The scoring logic reflects our general understanding of publicly available regulatory guidance at the time of publication and is necessarily simplified. Your preliminary result and any full assessment purchased afterward are based entirely on the accuracy of the answers you provide; we do not independently verify your answers and are not responsible for a result based on inaccurate or incomplete information you supply.

9. Confidentiality & Your Information

Information you provide when purchasing a Product or completing a self-assessment (including your email address and your assessment answers) is used to deliver the Product and respond to your enquiry, and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MSA's total liability arising from your purchase or use of any Product is limited to the amount you paid for that Product. MSA is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit or business opportunity, arising from your use of or reliance on our Products.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute, controversy, difference, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including the existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach, or termination thereof, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) under the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules in force at the time the Notice of Arbitration is submitted. The seat of arbitration shall be Hong Kong. The number of arbitrators shall be one. The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
